PetBrief

Intake, done-for-you. One link per sitter.

PET-CARE SERVICE KITBeta 0.1.0

THE OFFER

Every new client answers once. You get a brief and a reminder list.

An independent sitter's intake lives in text threads, phone calls and paper forms. Every new client gets re-asked the same questions; vaccination records get chased from memory. The kit's repeatable ritual — the monthly reminder round — does three things:

  • Each sitter gets one branded intake link. Every client answers the same questions once, on that link. No app for the sitter's clients to install.
  • Every booking becomes a printable meet-and-greet brief: owner contacts, per-pet feeding, behavior, medication and vaccination lines, with a completion score and a readiness banner.
  • Once a month, the operator exports the vaccination follow-up CSV and sends the reminders themselves. The tracking is in the export; the sending is a person, not an autoresponder.

Try it with the fictional sample first: open the working demo — the sample booking is already loaded, and nothing you type leaves your browser. Build the brief, download the reminder CSV, print the visit-day card, and download the backup-sitter handoff. The handoff is a live-demo file only; it is not inside the 0.1.0 ZIP.

Price to test: $199 one-time setup per sitter plus $29/month for the monthly reminder round ("intake just works"). That is a hypothesis, not a result — the first three sitters are free pilots (see START-HERE, step 4).

Read this before anything else. This is a working beta and demand is unproven. Etsy sellers move paper intake bundles for about $9 — sitters pay for the paper; the jump to a done-for-you digital intake is the untested part. The kill test is concrete: 10 conversations should produce 3 pilots and 1–2 paying sitters, or the wedge is wrong. No revenue, no customers, no conversion rate is claimed anywhere on this page.

From a link to a brief to a reminder

The walkthrough below uses the kit's own sample files: a fictional booking for "Dana Whitfield" with two pets. The results were produced by the included engine when this page was built.

The reminders are tracked in the export and sent by the operator. That is the $29/month: the ritual, done for the sitter.

What your client receives

The brief fits on one printed page before the fold: a readiness banner with the completion score, per-pet cards with feeding, behavior, medication and vaccination lines, then the vaccination follow-up list. Below the brief come the download buttons — reminder CSV, visit-day card, visit calendar. It's a single HTML file the sitter prints for the meet-and-greet.

The economics, as hypotheses

Every figure below is a hypothesis unless marked measured. The same model ships in the kit (ECONOMICS.csv) with a MEASURED column for real pilots to fill in. The largest uncertainty is demand: will a solo sitter pay for intake that feels like "just a form"?

How much runs by itself

Mostly manual today — honestly. The software parts are real; the service parts are a person.

  • Automated · tested The intake form validates every booking (blockers vs follow-ups, completion score), renders the sitter brief, and exports the vaccination CSV, the visit-day card and the visit calendar. 37 test assertions ship in the kit and pass.
  • A person Branding each sitter's intake link, onboarding clients, printing briefs, exporting the monthly CSV, and sending every reminder text. The $29/month retainer is this person's time.
  • Not claimed Automatic reminders, scheduled sends, client portals, payment collection. None of these exist; the kit does not pretend they do.

Everything inside the free kit

Version 0.1.0 beta. Includes a file manifest with SHA-256 hashes and a license. Nonexclusive reuse; check your chosen business name before launch.

Your first three steps

  1. Run the sample, then the checklist.
Unzip, open the demo, build the sitter brief from the sample booking, then work through the launch checklist.
  2. Run three free pilots.
Use the first-ten-customers plan. Time the monthly reminder round, and ask whether it saved the sitter real evenings.
  3. Make it yours, or stop.
Re-brand with the brand guide if the kill tests pass. If 10 conversations produce zero pilots, re-scope or stop.

Version history

  • 0.1.0: Released 2026-10-01 as a working beta. The kit package passed three independent reviews (creative, functional, commercial). Demand is unproven; the kill tests in the business plan decide what happens next.

Only the current kit is served. Old download links redirect to this page.
