Launch checklist: PetBrief 0.1.0 beta
Run every item before using PetBrief with a real client. Check the box only when you have seen the result yourself.
The app
- [ ]
OPEN-ME-PetBrief.htmlopens by double-click with no internet. - [ ] Sample booking loads; "Build the sitter brief" renders owner block,
pet cards, issues, and reminders without console errors.
- [ ] A fully complete intake scores 100/100 and shows "Ready for meet-and-greet".
- [ ] Leaving owner phone blank produces a blocker; blank behavior notes
produce a follow-up only.
- [ ] Medication checkbox ON with empty instructions = blocker.
- [ ] Vaccination expiry in the past = blocker naming the pet and vaccine.
- [ ] Typing a door code in any field fires the privacy flag.
- [ ] "Print sitter brief" produces a clean one-page print preview.
- [ ] "Download reminder CSV" produces a CSV that opens in a
spreadsheet with the 5 expected columns.
- [ ] With arrival and departure set, "Download visit card" produces an HTML
file naming each visit day with feeding, medication, and behavior per pet — and no door code anywhere.
- [ ] With arrival and departure set, "Download visit calendar" produces a
.ics with one VEVENT per visit day, each carrying feeding and medication notes.
The package
- [ ]
cd source && npm testpasses (37 assertions). - [ ]
manifest.jsonfile list matches the ZIP contents; hashes verify. - [ ] LICENSE.txt is stamped with version 0.1.0 (no
{{VERSION}}left). - [ ] Sample data is clearly fictional (no real names, phones, addresses).
The business
- [ ] ECONOMICS.md assumptions re-read; pricing still labeled hypothesis.
- [ ] First outreach channel chosen; first message drafted from
FIRST-TEN-CUSTOMERS.md.
- [ ] Reminder workflow calendar entry created (monthly, per sitter).
- [ ] You can explain in one sentence what the sitter pays for: "Clients
answer once, you get a printable brief, vaccination reminders are tracked in a monthly CSV export and sent by the operator."
Honest labels
- [ ] Every public description says "working beta; demand unproven".
- [ ] Nothing promises revenue, customers, or conversion.
