Brand: LessonBrief 0.1.0 beta

Product name: LessonBrief (one word, camel-caps; never "Lesson Brief", "Lesson-Brief", or "LessonBrief App") Tagline: What we covered — for the parent tonight. What it is: A post-session parent brief for independent US tutors. The tutor enters what a session covered; LessonBrief returns a printable parent brief, a homework checklist, and a parent reply card. Everything runs in the browser; nothing is uploaded. First name only.

Status: Beta · demand unproven. First name only. Not a report card. Nothing is uploaded.

Voice

Calm tutor desk. Plain words, short sentences, no school-district jargon. The parent is the reader; the tutor is the author; LessonBrief is the template that keeps both honest.

Visual system

The look is a tidy session notepad on a warm desk: ink on soft cream, checklist boxes, a quiet teal accent for "ready to send".

Brand promises (all true today)

  1. Works offline in any modern browser — no account, no upload, no internet needed.
  2. Never asks for surnames, school IDs, SSN, grades-as-official, or medical/IEP detail; rejects those fields and SSN patterns.
  3. Every build rule is backed by automated tests (source/test.mjs).
  4. It only does post-session write-ups: it does not grade, bill, schedule, store student records, or replace a school portal.

Honest labels

Every surface that describes the kit must carry these labels:
